I wanted to expand my knowledge and understanding of the Elizabethan era so I went to the library and took out 2 books to read.
I found this book under the fashion

and styling section which had many different books about different eras. I stumbled upon this book 'Fashions in makeup' and looked at the contents and found the Elizabethan era. I learnt quite a lot through reading this book as I know have a broader understanding of what the Elizabethans used to do in order to look a certain way. I have learnt a lot from what remedies they used and how they used to apply it and I found it helpful as I never knew the types of products they used to put on their faces, some even poisonous!
This book has helped me understand the application of makeup and it should help me with my project brief as I am now aware of the look everybody desired. I can take this information with me when I start to design and create ideas for my Elizabethan interpretation.
